Writing creative nonfiction as a narrative emphasizes the creative part by including some elements of fiction. The first element is character. Just like in fiction writing, one must develop a character (usually his/herself in creative nonfiction) with as many details as possible. The second element is dialogue. In order to write a narrative, one must include as must dialogue as they can to enhance the writing and make it seem even more like a narrative or story. The last element is scene setting. This entails describe the event and the setting in a large amount of detail. Most people have a better visual memory than auditory so description may be more accurate than dialogue. These three elements are crucial for making creative nonfiction as much like a narrative as possible.
